This weekend was a good one we watched the sunrise at Sunset Hills and spent Saturday laying around like beach bums at Coronado Beach. Sometimes you just need two beach days especially when the weather is as perfect as it's been. My heart still beats east coast but I sure do love beach sunsets and picnics on the beach oh and lets not forget them palm trees.  If you follow me on Snapchat  (@my_beatboutique) I'm sure you've seen all my California shenanigan's. 02 / This weekend i ...

This weekend was a good one , one for the books! Carlos got home early from work on Friday so we started our weekend early with some shopping and a good dinner - it was my cheat meal so I splurged with a cheese, basil & chicken pizza it was delish. Saturday we started off the day with some gym time (which pretty much left me useless on Sunday- so sore), walked for some Acai bowls and then spent the day walking around Carlsbad. Carlsbad was so nice and relaxing we walked around and spent some time in their little cute shops and then made our way to their beach. The weather was perfect so we sat on the beach and watched the sunset. It was one of those days that I didn't want to end.

This weekend was a fun one the hubby and I spent the days walking around town eating tacos and finally had our first Acai bowls- yum. Saturday we celebrated Valentine's day with gifts and tacos - a win in my book. If you follow me on Instagram you would've seen that after a year of stalking I now am a proud owner of the Celine trio bag - insert cries and smiles. We normally don't get each other gifts for Valentine's day but I woke up to a Nordstrom box on the bed I was one surprised gal. He handed the box to me and said "Happy 15th Valentine's Day & early birthday gift" a joint gift I knew it was going to be a good one. I opened it and cried!  She's perfect ! I took her out for a spin Saturday and felt like a million bucks. All in all it was a great weekend spent with the love of my life.

10 / Weekend Snaps

This weekend was a busy one from having dinner / drinks with some girlfriends, dancing the night away with Billy Joel to taco tasting with my guy. All in all it was a great weekend and I couldn't have asked for more - well maybe one more day off . We tried out Barcocina in Fells Point (downtown Baltimore) and it was delicious. The tacos were fantastic and the restaurant was gorgeous right by the water where you could see all the boats cruise on by. This week will be a short one for me so i'm looking forward to taking some time off and enjoying it with my husband. Cheers to a long weekend.

Pool days

This weekend was a blast from eating great food , pool days with my ladies and dancing the night away with my husband. Saturday we headed over to our girlfriends roof top pool and laid out and enjoyed some adult beverages. The past few times we've tried to make it a pool day the weather wasn't cooperating with us thankfully this Saturday was on the same page as we were. Saturday ended with great memories, a little color on my skin and fun time with my friends = success.

09 // Weekend Snaps

This weekend we headed to New York to check out the exhibit NY Botanical Gardens was having for Frida Kahlo. Unfortunately Saturday's weather was crappy so what was suppose to be a night under the stars listening to music on the lawn  turned out to be a rainy mess. We made the best of it and enjoyed the drizzle and seeing her original pieces. (I'll share more about the exhibit next week) We love NYC every time we visit we always say "we need to move here." This time we stayed close to China town and enjoyed some shopping, eating and celebrity spotting. Saturday morning on our way to brunch we spotted Chris Noth aka Mr. Big from Sex In The City he was walking in the same direction we were and hopped into the restaurant next to ours. As much as it hurt I contained myself and decided not to ask for a photo - I mean I can't be "that girl." NYC you were a hot and rainy mess but we still love you and thanks for another successful trip.

08 // Weeked Snaps

This weekend was a hot one , I stepped outside just to enjoy a night out with my guy over some delicious tacos and a few drinks. Most of the weekend I spent inside spring cleaning, popped into Madewell to pick up some new things, binge watching Friday Night Lights and Orange Is The New Black.  I'm not sure how I feel about the new season of OITNB I couldn't get passed episode 1, what did you guys think of the new season?

This weekend sure did fly by it seems like weekends in the summer seem zoom by. Friday I had the best carnita tacos , Saturday we enjoyed a great boxing match held by my gym Knockout Fitness (my trainer won !) and Sunday I tried to lay out however mother nature had other plans so I came home and gave myself a mani / pedi instead. All in all great weekend on to the next.

06 // This weekend i ...

What a great weekend it was I got in some pool time with my girlfriends , great dinner with friends and even checked out the Orioles beat Houston Astros on Monday. Besides the mini heat rash I have on my face it was a fantastic weekend which made coming to work a little easier. I was even able to take advantage of Madewell and Old Navy sales this weekend from the pool. I picked up some new swimsuits from Old Navy and A LOT of things I didn't need from Madewell. Cheers to a short week and great weather.

So I finally made my way to Whole Foods and picked up some pink Peonies. For those of you who follow me on Instagram (follow me )you probably couldn't tell I was excited about having these beauties in my home , since every photo I posted had peonies in it.  They are great addition to any photo it gives your photo the right amount of pop. Ok now back to my weekend, this weekend was pretty low key being that finals are a week away I am spending my time studying or taking mini breaks to unwind. Unwinding with girls night out , watching a great boxing match (Canelo vs. Kirkland) and finally getting around to watching Kurt Cobain : Montage of Heck . If you're a Nirvana or Kurt Cobain fan it's definitely a must watch. All in all it was a good relaxing weekend here's to a fast week and slow weekend.

Your eyes aren't fooling you those are some pasty legs I got there hope you have your sunglasses on for this post. Just as I thought my Valentine weekend was pretty much ruined by my sickness. What began to creep into my body Sunday was full blown by Wednesday and by Sunday. I had gone through 2 very large tissue boxes, 20 melt downs , coughed up a lung and  made a visit to Urgent Care who sent me home with nothing but a "keep your head up kid" I am finally feeling a little bit more like myself - mind you it's 8 days later. How is it that no one has come up with a cure for a cold? Yep a cold + a upper repository infection is the reason for using up most my sick days this early in the year.
So what's been going on in the world ? What did I miss ?

This weekend was pretty good we had the best sliders at Matchbox in DC , saw an amazing show (Sheer Mag , Priests & Parquet Courts) and made a few minor purchases. All in all it was a great weekend looking forward to see what this week will bring and lets not forget Valentine's day is this weekend.

My shopping freeze is finally over and I thought I would've been a crazy shopping lady on Feb.1 but I was not. I'm pretty proud of myself I put myself on this freeze for the month of January because after cleaning my closet in December I realized I bought so much crap that I didn't need and figured I needed to reevaluate my shopping habits. One month and a few days later I am proud that I didn't cave and I've learned that from this point on I will really think about those "on sale " items you know the ones like that stripe shirt that looks like the one you already have but it's on sale for $9 ya those. So far for 2015 these have been my purchases Madewell bracelet , leather card case , those adorable pens and lip balm from Anthropologie. Yep that's right that freeze worked it's magic, now my husband just waits anxioulsy for this to end.

This weekend was exactly what I'd hoped it would be - relaxing. We tried out a new (new to us) restaurant , met up with some friends for dinner & drinks and relaxed on the couch watching TBS. With the spring semester starting this week my relaxing weekends have come to an end. Here's to another great semester and hoping that we get a ton of snow this week.

Hello Friday! First full week of 2015 is gone and resolutions (here)  still going strong , we got snow on Tuesday and I was a happy gal. 21 days left of no shopping for me and of course Madewell new arrivals came out this week. Thanks for that Madewell. The next few weekends will be spent relaxing until the school semester finally starts back up on the 26th. This weekend we plan on finally going to watch The Theory of Everything I don't know what's taken us so long but I'm glad we are finally getting around to watching it. Other than cuddling on the couch with two fat cats our weekend is going to be pretty uneventful. Have a fabulous weekend!

My apologies for the radio silence I've been quite busy with enjoying life. Of course it doesn't stop me from documenting little moments here and there via Instagram. Fall is here and so is everything pumpkin and I will be taking full advantage of it. The weather has been up and down here in Baltimore one day it's raining another day you need a jacket and Friday I wore shorts and a tank. While the weather decides what it's going to do it's giving me time to look for a new winter coat + look for some new booties.

Monday is here folks so lets tackle this week with a smile and enjoy the beautiful fall weather happening this week.

This weekend was a relaxing one just like I hoped it would be filled with catching up on our DVR , finally picked up these jeans from Madewell and started packing for our mini vacation to Austin for Austin City Limits Music Festival. The weather changed from what felt like fall weather to summer again. We watched that documentary on MTV called  No Cameras Allowed and it was really good if you've never been to a music festival watch this movie. We also watched The Skeleton Twins on Friday and it was phenomenal , Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader were so good in this movie I cried like a baby. Another must watch.

In other news I got my hands on the J.Crew catalog and as usual I want everything from the sweaters, the floral pants and cardigans. This catalog definitely got me excited for fall.

These past few weeks have been pretty hectic and so I'm hoping to lay low this weekend. I've been having those weeks where I feel I am being pulled in so many directions and all I want to do is curl up on the couch and watch a good movie, so this weekend I will be doing just that. Today we plan on going to see Skeleton Twins at The Charles theatre downtown Baltimore I've heard a lot of great things about that place so I can't wait. As for Saturday and Sunday I'm hoping for an uneventful two days. Dream big!

This weekend went by so fast that I can't even tell you what happened this weekend it's all a blur. This weekend consisted of a hair cut , cleaning around the loft, visiting Madewell and purchasing this dress and not to mention a dance party that lasted till 4am on Sunday. I have a long to do list for this week so it will be a busy week for me . I hope you have a fabulous Monday and a fantastic week.

This weekend was so relaxing since we will be going back home to Texas for a wedding in a few weeks we decided to stay in this weekend and just relax. Friday evening we joined 500 other bikers from Baltimore for this months Baltimore Bike Party. This was our first bike party and we had a blast we can't wait till this months bike party. For the rest of the weekend we stayed indoors played some games, watched movies and did some cleaning. I was a little bummed we stayed in until I went outside and realized how HOT it was outside, this weekend was on of the hottest we've had in a long time, thank you A/C.

This weekend I said good-bye to my family which is never easy. After spending 7 days with them it was so hard to say good-bye especially to my niece Elliot. Friday we decided instead of coming home to a quiet house we would grab some chairs, a bottle of wine and go watch a movie outside in Little Italy. We ate some delicious pasta and made our way to watch Silver Linings Playbook which we've already seen multiple times but watching it again wouldn't be so bad especially under the stars with some wine. The rest of the weekend was filled with unpacking and preparing for the upcoming week.
