If you follow me on Snapchat you will see that I have been strutting around town in this Old Navy backpack I got a few months ago. I normally don't carry a lot with me but this bag is perfect for your necessities and more. San Diego is pretty warm during the day but once the sun goes down it get a little breezy and this bag is the perfect size to carry around my denim jacket or sweater for those chilly nights. Top 5 Swim suits

Summer is just around the corner and you know what that means swim suit time. Since we moved to California my swimwear has been putting in overtime. I love this black scallop one piece one piece I tried it on at Target and passed it was beautiful however zero support.  I feel that a lot of the halter one pieces  don't give enough support so I usually go for a full one piece - I like to make sure the girls are all strapped in.  Here's a few of my current faves.

For those of you who didn't receive your J.Crew catalog in the mail this week allow me to introduce you to the Mini bucket bag. Bucket bags have blown up since Mansur Gavriel debuted their classic bucket bag and now J.Crew has jumped on that train. I love my Mansur Gavriel bucket bag however I now wish I would've ordered the smaller version because I simply just don't carry that much in my bag unless i'm traveling. However this mini bag is perfect for me it seems like it holds just the essentials - keys, wallet, lip gear, phone and small note pad (which I always carry because I'm old). So my birthday is coming up in a few weeks who will be buying this for me ? Any takers ? 

01 / Closet haul

I was on a mini shopping shoe freeze so these leather espadrilles have been in my cart for a the past month I stalked them every week just to make sure they were still available in my size. Finally last week I broke the freeze and purchased two pairs I've been wanting these espadrilles and some sneakers. I ordered them online and were on my doorstep in two days great start to the weekend. Luckily both pairs worked out so I thought I'd share it in a mini closet haul.

Strappy flats trend has been going strong for the past year and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I bought my first pair of strappy flats last year from Top Shop and I love them. I didn't think that I would like them because I'm not a fan of an ankle strap but I love them they go with everything. I wore them so much that the suede is pretty much holding on by a tiny thread so I am on the hunt for some new ones and Zara seems to be on - point with their strappy shoe selection. Here are a few that I got my eye on.

So I have a pair of white denim jeans that I just love , you know those pair of pants that you always reach for because you just feel good wearing them? Yea can't stop won't stop wearing them. I love pairing them with camel because two neutrals are perfect together. Lets talk about the shoes now, so i've seen a lot of people sporting the Stan Smith's and I like these Puma's better. On to the bag yeah I don't own a Celine however one of my resolutions is to save up for one so I added it to this outfit because - hey a girl can dream right ?

Independence Day is here and that means summer is in full swing and I couldn't be happier because that means picnics at the park, fireworks and bbq's . This weekend we will be enjoying our time staying in town hanging out with friends and we will be watching fireworks at a friends house from his rooftop deck. My attire will consist of my comfiest denim shorts , sandals and alternating tees and sunglasses. My make-up on weekends is pretty low key I use a Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer , bronzer , some mascara and a lip balm. As for the dreads I will alternate between a hat and a party pony (pony tail). There you go that's what my weekend will look like. I recently snatched up these floral pants and when I tried them my husband said to me "what could you possibly wear with those?"  Well little does he know that I had already thought of 3 outfits to wear them with. I am a very shy person however my outfits constantly scream this is one fun gal under this outfit. Floral when done right can be a fun pattern to have in your closet and as a pant it slims me down. The fabric is breathable and comfortable for day or night. Here's a couple of ideas for the weekend.

My Everlane loafers came in a few weeks ago and it was love at first sight however once I put them on my feet were not so pleased. These shoes are narrow  as can be I ordered my size since the website states to order your regular size and if I were to go up a size they would've been to big for me. So I decided to keep them and  hope that the leather will loosen up a bit. They've slowly stretched out a tad the wider they get the happier my feet will be. I had the same problem with my Madewell oxfords but after some bruising and a handful of blisters my oxfords are now my most comfortable shoe - next to my tennis shoes. Back to this outfit , spring is here and it's time to throw on a light jacket,comfortable tee, your favorite white denim and go out and enjoy the sunshine and great weather.

With the temperatures staying in single digits my outfits on the weekends have stayed pretty consistent high rise denim , oxfords , button sometimes adding a chunky knit on top and a warm coat. I wish I could go for wool right now but it will not keep these brittle bones warm so my parka has been my go to, unless I'm cabbing it to my destination I'll switch to my wool coat. My hunt for a flat bootie is still going strong so until I find that comfortable bootie my oxfords are my number one choice.

With temperatures continuing to drop here in the east coast my outfits are still consisting of sweaters, my favorite Madewell denim and my parka. I really love that Sienna Miller is on the same outfit schedule as I am. This photo made me super excited because my Mansur Gavriel bag is set to arrive on my door step sometime this month , I hope. Back to this outfit, I know it's simple but I just really love this look it's the perfect way to dress up your winter coat especially a parka.

Just because it's cold outside doesn't mean your outfits should be reflect the weather. A dress can be used all year around even though your options may be limited in the winter it still doesn't mean you shouldn't wear them. I love wearing tights in the winter time however this year I've incorporated socks with my dresses. Wearing socks with your booties is another great alternative for a dress or skirt J.Crew and Madewell have adorable socks that will add some funk to your outfit.

01 // My current style

My favorite season is and always will be winter I love everything about it except the bare trees (such an eye sore) if winter had fall trees I would be the happiest gal on the planet. For the past couple of winters I've been living in Baltimore and I've seen snow- a lot of snow =happy gal. This season my outfits consist of a cozy knit , high waist denim, a cool sneaker or comfortable boot depending on the occasion & mood, a wool hat, a leather tote and most importantly a warm coat. It gets pretty chilly here so a good coat is necessary in Texas (my hometown) a wool coat is just fine however when it's 5 degrees out a wool coat will not keep you warm. I'm no expert but I will say that what's kept my tush warm have been a knee length puffer coat (similar one) and this year I added (this) Penfield coat to my closet. Both have kept me very warm and both are so light weight. If you're in the market for a good coat check out Penfield, I've seen them all over Madewell stores and I was hesitant but I am a believer now.

This year sure has flown by I can't believe that 2015 is right around the corner. So what are your New Year's plans? This year we will be headed to a friends house party to indulge in some adult beverages and watch fireworks from her roof top. I'm still undecided on what to wear it's between this Zara dress and another Zara dress I purchased a few months ago both we'll see which one wins on the day of. I purchased these Zara shoes on major sale and I cannot wait to wear them on Wed. along with a fancy number and a bright lip.

There's a breeze in the air leafs are beginning to change colors and that only means one thing 'hello fall!' I love fall weather from the pumpkin donuts to the everyday bootie. This outfit will become my uniform this fall. I finally scored these high riser jeans on major sale at Madewell and I cannot wait to wear them. Many fall purchases will be made in the next few months , what do you have on your fall shop list ?
