Hello Leopard !  A month ago I purchased these Steve Madden leopard heels for a great price. I was so excited the fit was perfect. The past couple of season's leopard seems to be the new neutral. They can be paired with color, pattern, skirt, and pants. Don't be afraid of bold pattern once you put them they will transform any outfit. Well, what are you waiting for .

Sun hat dream

The weekend started off with storms and lots of rain- what I didn't pack for. Thank goodness Sunday turned my frown upside down. Jumping out of bed Sunday morning and looking out the window seeing sunshine felt like Christmas morning. I started the coffee pot warmed up some muffins and rushed out the door to take in the rays. If you follow me on Instagram your feed was full of pics of me and my sun hat- my apologies. Even though my hair and face wasn't done up wearing this hat transformed me into one of those great hair days or wearing your favorite dress. You know every girl has that one dress that when worn you can't help but snap a bunch of pics because that dress makes
you feel that good.

I finally jumped on the colored denim band wagon - late bloomer over here. so a couple of weeks ago i was at NY&Co. or what i still call Lerners and i stumbled upon these red pants. i tried them on and felt like i had finally found something i could work with so i take them home. this weekend i hem them up and threw them on to run some errands and for some strange reason i thought they were "skinnies" it said so on the inside. nope they are more of a skinny - boot cut. when i walked out of Lerners with these i had this idea of what they would look like on me. the excitement must have made me forget i was probably 4 inches shorter and these were NOT skinnies. has this ever happen to you where you purchase something you have fallen in love with at the store bring it home and what you brought home is not at all what you though it was ?? (sorry for the run on)

 either way they are comfy and will be great for the Red Sox game next week.

I bought these boyfriend jeans on my last trip home to Texas. when i told my silly hubby about how my search finally was complete when i found them he said "um boyfriend ? don't you mean husband jeans !" silly man he is. these are so comfortable and fit perfect. my ONLY complaint is the thigh area is a bit larger than i would like therefore making my thighs look larger than they really are. but the whole point of this style of jean is casual comfort , right? either way i love them and are my go to every weekend as you can tell if you follow me on Instagram where i try and post most of my  #ootd (outfit of the day).

This weekend the weather was all over the place it went from sunny, windy and rainy all in one day. As I began to pose for this last pic the rain had other plans for this style blogger. Last year my Mama came down to visit me and she brought me these shoes which i was a little hesitant because of the color (almost white but with a gray tint). she must have known what my future self would have wanted because Friday night as i began to put this outfit together i could not find the right shoe until i remembered i had these cuties that haven't even been used. I then snapped a nice pic of them and sent it over to my Mama with this simple message  "Mama you always know best." It's in those moments that you know the power of a Mom.

This weekend I finally did it, I jumped on the color denim wagon. I've tried my share of colored denim and finally I was able to find a pair that I can work with. Our local mall here in Mississippi isn't the most up to date mall however you can find the occasional score. I walked into NY & Co. or what I still call Lerner's and browsed their sale rack and tada there it was colored denim for $9.99. I was hesitant at first then I tried them on and yay they fit perfect. Happy gal over here.

Another edition of weekend jammers (first edition) - I purchased two of these and I'm on the hunt for another pair. I see an addiction to silk bottoms forming. They transition is easy pairing it with flats for day and adding a fun heel for evening. Not to mention a great alternative to jeans.

This weekend the weather was BEAUTIFUL so I took full advantage and wore my new sunnies and hat. Wearing a hat always puts me in the best of moods. I feel transformed in some way - kinda like a new haircut. Since I am a big weenie and can't seem to part with my hair I figured accessorizing my hair is a great alternative.

At my 8-5 one thing you will always find me wearing is a blazer. However as most of you who keep up with me know I’m a sucker for color.  My blazers consist of polka dots, bright reds/blues/pink and the occasional black. I wore this outfit last Thursday and as we all huddled around for a quick meeting I couldn't help but look around at all the two piece black suits that surrounded this 5 ft. 2 in four eyed fire cracker. Lol. Clearly I’m a girl that really doesn't have to say much, my outfit and my 5.0 walk is all people need to know. When it comes to your work attire don't settle for just the bare minimum go bold. Blazers can feel a bit restricting at times however with a fun color or pattern your restriction will become your beach towel.

Here's a little bit of R (royal blue) N' R (red) for ya. Two colors I rarely like to wear together are these two : red and blue. I love both colors however paired together I feel like Clark Kent aka Superman, so I decided to throw in some black ,orange nails and orange lips. I guess it's not so bad after all. Today's tip when all else fails just add a pop of color and a neutral.

Hello Monday. Color , Color , Color is all I see lately. I was super excited when I came across these shorts on Tobi I ordered them in the green and white , however sadly they were a size too big and they are all sold out. :( I sometimes don't realize my size( I ordered them in a medium and obvi I needed a small even and maybe even an XS), I see a puggy girl and in reality i'm not as big as I sometimes think. I suppose I block out my healthy eating habits and the 3 -4 miles I run a day. Sadly I paid the price for this with these shorts. I took them to my seamstress and there wasn't anything she could do to make them smaller. I am keeping them and just gonna have to Tim Gunn it and "Make it Work." Besides the sad story , don't you just love the pattern on them ???

I've been loving pattern pants lately {here} lets face it pattern is everywhere this season and I have jumped on the bandwagon. Lets talk about the polka dot pants for a sec I saw these a couple of weeks ago online and was sad when my size was not available. This weekend I went to return some items as I walked by their store I glanced over and BAM there they were and they had about 5 in my size. I LOVE them. They remind me of the MC Hammer pants that I used to wear in my youth in the 80's , I wore them then and i'm wearing them again only this time i'm wearing big girl shoes instead of patent leather oxfords with steel tips.

This is my first attempt at skinnies, I'm normally not comfortable wearing anything that's too form fitting however this winter I needed a pair of jeans that I could tuck my boots in and I found these at Forever 21 and figured I would try them out. I did feel a little awkward in them at first but it wasn't so bad. I think the idea was to balance out my bottom half with a flowy top. I definitely went out of my comfort zone with them and i'm glad I did. Now I don't wear them every day, but I am looking into buying another pair. So I guess it's safe to safe skinnies don't make me cringe anymore.
