If you really knew me...

18 July 2012

Some of my fave bloggers have opened up to their readers about themselves. I've really liked getting to know a little more about the person behind the blog especially my Amserdam gal Liz from explore.dream.discover. I thought I'd do the same and share a little bit about myself.

if you really knew me...
^ you'd know that I am in my thirties , 34 to be exact.
^ you'd know that I am never on time, anywhere. if i say i've left that means i'm barely getting dressed.
^you'd know that i love music and attending shows and festivals.
^you'd know that i talk to my older brother Richard every day during lunch and on my way to the gym.
^you'd know that I lived in Oak Harbor, WA. for 3 1/2 years.
^you'd know that i am very shy. shocker for those who do know me. I find it very hard to make new friends and meet new people.
^you'd know i hate public speaking. put me in a room full of strangers and i am a studdering fool.
^you'd know i "mother" my little brother and sister and really wish I had a closer relationship with them.
^you'd know i had a different take on kids, until my niece was born.
^you'd know my husband has been in the Navy for 9 years. So I am a military wife.
^you'd know I love to take pictures and really wish i could devote so much more time to photography and painting.
^you'd know I am my worst critic, I have struggled with my weight since birth.
^you'd know I run every day , except for Tues/Thurs I go to spin - which i love.
^you'd know I am the biggest smart a$$ , I have an answer for everything.
^ you'd know I am also a prankster- at work. I have 2 co-workers that don't know me but I empty out their stapler every chance I get. lol.
^you'd know i've been a blogger for a year now and i still haven't told my mother or friends about it. I am really shy and feel like they just wouldn't "get it."
^you'd know I am currently suffering from carpa tunnel. so my hands, wrists and forearms are in constant pain.
^you'd know even after being on Weight Watchers over 3 years ago , I still count my points.
^you'd know I have two cats and I had a sweet dog named Lucy who passed away 3 years ago. She was the love of my life. Her picture still sits on my bed side table and I often dream about her and even though 3 years have gone by it's still is a touchy subject. I have no doubt that if she was still here she would have been in every outfit pic.

If we were buddies, what would I know?  If you've already participated in this or plan to please share a link when you comment. I'd love to get to really know you.

  1. I wish I had your determination with your workout routine. I have a 5k coming up and am unsure I'll be able to run it all..pathetic I know.
I love that you keep your blog a secret still. :)
You look great! You should have no body issues.
You should take some time to yourself with the DC move and develop the photography hobby and have fun with it.

  2. I know...that you also have a dirty mouth! Ha! You used to say some crazy sh*t, man. And in front of Roya, to boot. I knew from then on, we would be fast friends...or was it the smelly money...hahahaha. You are the jokester, that's for sure! I hope you tell your mom about your blog someday. I think she'd love it, but you'd know better than me. :)

  4. This idea is very cool. I had no idea we were the same age because you don't even look like you're in your late 20s. I also love that you mentioned struggling with your weight. I would never have guessed otherwise and it's nice to see how far you've come, motivational even. I decided I needed to open up a bit more on my blog too, so check it out if you get a chance.
