I've been a fan of Frida Kahlo since learning about her in high school (a few years ago). Her story is a true inspiration for women especially Mexican women. No matter what obstacle was in her way she always managed to rise above it. I've been admiring her work for so long that when I finally was in front of her pieces it was a great feeling. I could finally see her brush strokes and so much more detail on the six pieces. The exhibit was fantastic the replication of her garden was gorgeous just think a lot of cacti and succulents. It's a great exhibit even if you don't know much about her work so if you're in the NYC area it's a must to check out the exhibit runs through the summer so you still have time New York Botanical Gardens did a phenomenal job .

After the exhibit they had some outdoor entertainment with some mariachi music and spanish dancers aka folklorico dancers. Too bad it was drizzling the whole time but we were able to enjoy some entertainment and some tasty beverages.
